David R. Clausen, O.D.


Dr. Clausen is a Colorado native and 1971 graduate of Arapahoe High School. He earned his Bachelors from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He then attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA, graduating with a doctorate of optometry in 1977.
Dr. Clausen returned to Colorado, and worked at
Kaiser Permanente as a staff optometrist. Dr. Clausen is
a member of the Colorado Optometric Association, and the Denver Metro Optometric Society. Dr. Clausen is the father of five children and grandfather of seven.

Michael E. Young, O.D.


Dr. Young is also a Colorado native and a 1975 graduate of Wheat Ridge High School. He earned his Bachelors degree from Colorado State University where he was an inductee into the Phi Beta Kappa academic honors fraternity. Dr. Young attended Pacific University College of Optometry and attended on an Air Force Health Professions Scholarship. Upon graduation he served 24 years with the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Colonel in 2007. Dr. Young is a current Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, member of the American Optometric Association, the Colorado Optometric Association, the Southern Colorado Optometric Society, lifetime member of the Armed Forces Optometric Society. He has been in private practice in the local area since 2008. Dr. Young is married with two children. He enjoys tennis, skiing, hiking and biking.
